In Loving Memory of Seth Peele
LANCASTER, OH — The Lancaster community and all who knew him are mourning the untimely loss of Seth Peele, 33, of Lancaster, who tragically passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, following a head-on collision on Pleasantville Road near State Route 158 in Greenfield Township, Fairfield County.
On that fateful evening, at approximately 9:09 P.M., the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lancaster Post responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle crash. Investigators determined that a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Seth collided head-on with a 2015 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Karla Vick, 66, of Buckeye Lake. Ms. Vick sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Grant Medical Center for urgent treatment, while Seth was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office.
Seth Peele was known by family, friends, and colleagues as a kind, compassionate, and devoted individual. Those who had the privilege of knowing him often spoke of his warm smile, his willingness to help others, and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His loss has left a profound void in the lives of everyone who knew him, and the community shares in the grief of his family during this difficult time.

First responders including the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Basil Fire Department, Greenfield Township Fire/EMS, Fairfield County Engineers Office, and Barbers Towing all worked diligently alongside the Ohio State Highway Patrol to manage the scene and provide assistance.
