In Loving Memory of Brandi Stoneburner and Drew Satterfield 🕊️
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, communities across Maryland and beyond are mourning the tragic loss of Brandi Stoneburner and Drew Satterfield, whose lives were taken in two separate, fatal crashes along the Eastern Shore on March 12, 2026. Both incidents, occurring within hours of each other, have left family, friends, and neighbors grappling with grief and the shocking reality of lives cut far too short.
The first tragedy occurred at approximately 8:33 p.m. on Eldorado Road. Authorities with the Maryland State Police report that a Kia Sportage, traveling southbound, left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation and struck an electrical box. The collision caused the vehicle to overturn. Brandi Stoneburner, 40, of Princess Anne, was the sole occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene. Eldorado Road remained closed for more than three hours as troopers meticulously examined the crash site. Brandi’s sudden loss has left her family and community heartbroken, mourning a vibrant life that ended far too soon.
Later that night, around 11:16 p.m., another fatal crash occurred on U.S. Route 301, just north of Maryland Route 544. This collision involved two vehicles: a Volkswagen GTI and a Chevrolet Traverse. Preliminary reports indicate that the Volkswagen struck the rear of the Chevrolet, causing the Chevrolet to leave the roadway and overturn into a wooded area.
Tragically, the driver of the Chevrolet, 19-year-old Drew Satterfield of Middletown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Volkswagen’s driver, 22-year-old Easton Bryant of Chester, was transported by air to a local trauma center for treatment. Authorities have noted that speeding and potential impairment may have contributed to the crash. Pending investigation and consultation with the Office of the State’s Attorney in Queen Anne’s County, charges may be considered.
The Maryland State Police emphasized that both incidents remain under active investigation. Officers and investigators continue to gather information, review evidence, and work diligently to determine all contributing factors. Road closures at both sites were necessary to allow for thorough examination and reconstruction of the crashes.
These two tragic losses serve as a heartbreaking reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safety on our roads. Brandi Stoneburner and Drew Satterfield were loved deeply by their families, friends, and communities, and their sudden passing leaves an irreplaceable void. Brandi’s family and neighbors remember her warmth and presence in Princess Anne, while Drew’s loved ones and peers reflect on the bright future and potential that ended far too soon.
In this difficult time, communities are urged to support the grieving families with compassion, prayers, and solidarity. Maryland State Police also remind drivers to prioritize safety, obey speed limits, and avoid impaired driving to prevent future tragedies like these.
