Authorities reported that a 2016 International tractor-trailer traveling eastbound was struck from behind by a 2014 Dodge vehicle. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to veer into the median and overturn. The Dodge then continued through the median barrier into the westbound lanes, where it was struck by a 2026 Volvo tractor-trailer.

In the aftermath of this heartbreaking collision, the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office identified the driver of the Dodge as Chelsea Emily Moran. The crash remains under investigation.
