According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:48 a.m. near the intersection of County Road 565 and Sloans Ridge Road. Reports indicate that a 2018 Dodge Challenger traveling southbound lost control, ran off the right side of the roadway, and struck multiple trees. The impact caused the vehicle to become engulfed in flames. Despite the efforts of first responders, both teenagers were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
News of the tragedy quickly spread throughout the community, bringing people together in mourning. A vigil was held near the crash site, where loved ones gathered to remember the two friends whose lives ended so suddenly. Friends, neighbors, and family members placed crosses bearing their names at the scene, creating a powerful memorial that reflects the love and heartbreak felt by so many.
Those closest to Chrystobal, affectionately known as Chris, described him as a young man full of life and potential.
