The community of Kalispell is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Jayden Mikesell, a young life taken far too soon in a tragic crash on Foys Canyon Road Saturday night. At just 19 years old, Jayden’s passing has left family, friends, and the entire community stunned and mourning a future that was filled with so much promise.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Jayden’s vehicle approached a curve on Foys Canyon Road at a high speed. The vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Jayden was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tundra, a 58-year-old man, and a 17-year-old passenger were transported to Logan Health Kalispell for treatment.
Behind the details of this tragic accident is the life of a young person who meant so much to so many. Jayden was at the beginning of adulthood, standing on the edge of new opportunities, dreams, and experiences that life had yet to unfold.
