In Loving Memory of Jesus Delgado
The city of Syracuse is mourning the heartbreaking and tragic loss of 25-year-old Jesus Delgado, whose life was taken far too soon in a shooting early Tuesday morning in the Northside neighborhood.
According to the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office, Jesus Delgado was identified as the victim in the deadly incident. The Syracuse Police Department reported that officers were alerted around 12:15 a.m. on March 3 after ShotSpotter technology detected gunfire in the 100 block of Lawrence Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Jesus suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his midsection and chest. He was rushed to Upstate University Hospital, where medical teams worked tirelessly to save his life. Despite their life-saving efforts, Jesus later succumbed to his injuries.
