In Loving Memory of Ronnie McWilliams and Brenda Janzen
SHREVEPORT, LA — The community of Shreveport and central Caddo Parish is mourning the tragic loss of two residents, Ronnie McWilliams, 27, and Brenda Janzen, 59, who were killed in a devastating two-vehicle collision on North Market Street (LA Highway 1) near Blanchard on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred just after noon in the 6000 block of North Market Street. Ronnie McWilliams, a young man described by friends and family as full of life and ambition, was involved in one of the vehicles. Emergency responders transported him to Ochsner LSU Health, but he was pronounced deceased at 12:48 p.m.
Brenda Janzen, a cherished member of the Shreveport community, was traveling in a second vehicle involved in the collision. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:19 p.m. Both victims were positively identified by authorities through government-issued identification. Autopsies have been ordered as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
