It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the tragic passing of John Gross, 61, of Glenville, Pennsylvania, who lost his life in a fatal crash on March 12, 2026, in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania. The Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to a devastating collision at approximately 6:35 a.m. on the 1700 block of Seven Valleys Road, which claimed the life of Mr. Gross and deeply affected the local community.

According to preliminary reports, a 2025 Ford F-150 driven by Mr. Gross was traveling north on Seven Valleys Road when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane. There, it collided head-on with a 2024 Volvo tractor-trailer traveling south. The tractor-trailer driver, a 55-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, was en route to Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania to pick up a load of eggs and fortunately was unharmed. Both drivers and the trucking company have been cooperating fully with authorities to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Tragically, Mr. Gross was pronounced deceased at the scene by a York County Deputy Coroner. His sudden loss is a heavy blow to his family, friends, and all who knew him. John’s life, work, and presence in the community are remembered with love and respect. He was more than a driver or a figure in an accident report—he was a person whose life touched those around him in countless ways.

This tragic event is a sobering reminder of how fragile life can be. While authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash, the focus remains on remembering John, honoring his life, and supporting his family and community during this time of immense grief.
