Two Dead, Three Injured in Tragic Head-On Collision in Logan County

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Authorities are investigating a fatal head-on collision that claimed the lives of 33-year-old Lee Bradshaw and 28-year-old Jose L. Garcia Jr., both of Russellville, and left three others injured Thursday morning in Logan County.

According to Logan County Sheriff Stephen Stratton, deputies and multiple emergency agencies were dispatched to the 5500 block of Franklin Road (Kentucky 100) following reports of a severe crash. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two heavily damaged vehicles and multiple victims.

Investigators said a Ford F-150, driven by 23-year-old Dekamren Terry of Russellville, was traveling eastbound on Kentucky 100 when it collided head-on with a Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Bradshaw, who was heading westbound.

The impact proved deadly for Bradshaw and his passenger, Garcia, both of whom were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Logan County Coroner’s Office.

Two juveniles who were passengers in Bradshaw’s vehicle sustained serious injuries. One child was transported by Logan County EMS to The Medical Center at Bowling Green, while the other was flown via air medical transport to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for advanced treatment. Authorities have not released their conditions at this time.

Sheriff Stratton confirmed that Terry also suffered injuries in the crash, though details about the extent of those injuries were not immediately available.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from the Kentucky State Police, Logan County Coroner’s Office, Russellville Rural Fire Department, Logan Aluminum Fire Department, Logan County EMS, Logan County ECC, McCoys Wrecker Service, and Bams Wrecker Service.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation as they work to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly collision.

This tragic incident has deeply shaken the Russellville community, leaving families grieving the sudden loss of Lee Bradshaw and Jose Garcia Jr. while others remain anxiously awaiting updates on the condition of the injured.
