Kendall County, IL — The Kendall County community is mourning the loss of Trent Pahnke, 31, of Aurora, who tragically died in a motorcycle crash on Illinois Route 47 on Saturday evening.
According to a statement from the Kendall County Coroner’s Office, Pahnke sustained multiple blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders were called to the location at approximately 7:35 p.m., at a stretch of Route 47 situated between Ament and Walker Roads in unincorporated Kendall Township.
The Illinois State Police reported that Pahnke was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Route 47 when his vehicle collided with the front driver’s side of a northbound semitrailer truck. The force of the collision caused Pahnke to be ejected from his motorcycle, and he succumbed to his injuries before medical personnel could provide treatment.
The driver of the truck involved in the crash was not reported to have sustained any injuries. The Illinois State Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision, and additional details have not yet been released.
