St. Norbert College Mourns the Loss of Rev. Andrew Ciferni, O. Praem.

De Pere, Wis. — St. Norbert College is mourning the passing of Rev. Andrew Ciferni, O. Praem., a Norbertine priest of Daylesford Abbey whose dedication, leadership, and faith profoundly impacted the college community.

Fr. Andrew served St. Norbert College with distinction in multiple roles. From 2013 to 2018, he led as Director of the Center for Norbertine Studies, fostering scholarship and promoting the rich Norbertine heritage. His tenure in this role was marked by a commitment to education, spiritual formation, and mentorship, influencing students, faculty, and staff alike.

Later, from 2019 to 2022, Fr. Andrew guided the college as Chair of the Board of Trustees, providing thoughtful leadership and wisdom during a time of growth and strategic development for the institution. Colleagues remember him as a man of insight, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the values of faith and service.

Throughout his life, Fr. Andrew’s pastoral care extended far beyond administrative duties. He touched countless lives through personal guidance, spiritual counsel, and a steadfast commitment to the Norbertine mission of service, community, and devotion. His presence and guidance created a lasting legacy that will be remembered for generations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli, Pennsylvania, on Friday, August 29, honoring Fr. Andrew’s life, ministry, and the indelible mark he left on those who knew him.

St. Norbert College extends heartfelt condolences to Fr. Andrew’s family, the Norbertine community at Daylesford Abbey, and all who were touched by his life and ministry. The college community is holding them in thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning and remembrance.
