Over the course of more than five decades of service, he built a legacy rooted in excellence, mentorship, and dedication. His career touched thousands of lives—whether through his leadership in the fire service, his time as an educator at Eastern Kentucky University, his tireless efforts through NAFI, or his many years of service on NFPA committees. Wherever he served, Ron’s wisdom, passion, and generosity left a lasting mark.

Ron had an extraordinary passion for fire investigation, a calling that went beyond simply a profession. He believed deeply in advancing the science of fire investigation and in mentoring the next generation of professionals.
