Remembering Honorable Judge Todd Walton II: A Champion for Children and Community

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Honorable Judge Todd Walton II, a remarkable leader whose dedication to children and families has left an indelible mark on our community.

As the founder of the CASA Program for Bracken, Fleming, and Mason Counties, Inc., Judge Walton envisioned a program that would give a voice to the most vulnerable members of society—children in the foster care system. Under his guidance, the program flourished, eventually expanding to become the Buffalo Trace CASA Program, touching the lives of countless young people who might otherwise have gone unheard.

Judge Walton’s commitment went far beyond titles and official responsibilities. His unwavering dedication, compassion, and tireless advocacy for children were evident in every decision he made, every child he supported, and every volunteer he mentored. Those who had the privilege of working with him remember a leader who combined vision with empathy, determination with humility, and passion with purpose.

Through his leadership, Judge Walton helped create a lasting institution—one that continues to empower volunteers, support children in need, and strengthen families throughout our region. His influence will be felt for generations, as the CASA Program he nurtured carries forward his mission of care and justice for children.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Walton family, holding you close in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life lived in service, a legacy of compassion, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

Honorable Judge Todd Walton II’s vision and dedication remind us that one person’s commitment can create meaningful, lasting change—and his legacy will continue to inspire all who carry on the work he began.
