We are heartbroken to share the passing of Flight Paramedic Kevin Robert, who tragically died on the evening of August 27, 2025, following a sudden medical emergency while on duty.
Kevin was serving aboard LifeNet 7-13, based out of Ticonderoga, New York, alongside a flight nurse and pilot as they cared for a patient in flight. In the midst of their mission, Kevin experienced a critical medical emergency. Acting with the utmost professionalism and urgency, the crew immediately diverted to a nearby hospital while the communications center coordinated additional emergency resources for both Kevin and the patient. Despite the extraordinary efforts of the flight team, communications staff, first responders, and hospital personnel, Kevin could not be revived.
Kevin’s sudden passing is not only a profound loss for his family and colleagues but also for the countless lives he touched through his work in emergency medical services. Known for his calm under pressure, unwavering dedication, and compassionate care, Kevin embodied the very best of what it means to serve as a flight paramedic. His work saved lives, provided comfort to patients and families in their darkest hours, and set an example of courage and selflessness that will not be forgotten.
In recognition of the immense impact of this tragedy, the Ticonderoga base has been placed on safety stand-down, ensuring that Kevin’s teammates have the time and space they need to grieve and begin healing. The well-being of our team remains our highest priority as we mourn this devastating loss together.
At this time, we ask that the community keep Kevin’s family, friends, and teammates close in their thoughts and prayers. Out of respect for their privacy, we ask that space be given as they navigate this period of unimaginable grief.
Kevin will be remembered not only as a dedicated paramedic but also as a colleague, a friend, and a hero whose memory will remain forever intertwined with the mission of LifeNet. Each future mission will carry with it a piece of his legacy—a reminder of his commitment to serving others, no matter the circumstance.
Though Kevin is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire. His dedication, courage, and compassion will live on in the lives he saved, the teammates he worked alongside, and the communities he faithfully served.
