MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — A Saturday evening dispute at the Buffalo Wild Wings on North Columbia Street ended in tragedy when a fight between employees escalated into gunfire, leaving 25-year-old restaurant manager Nytavious Stone dead.
According to police, the incident began inside the restaurant when two employees became involved in a heated confrontation. Witnesses reported that tensions quickly rose, prompting the altercation to spill out into the employee parking lot.
Authorities said that during the dispute, the brother of one of the employees involved in the initial fight arrived at the scene, further escalating the situation. Shortly after, gunshots were fired, striking Stone multiple times.
Emergency responders rushed to the parking lot and found Stone gravely injured. Despite immediate life-saving measures and rapid transport to a local hospital, Stone was pronounced dead at 6:34 p.m.
Police confirmed that two individuals were taken into custody nearby for questioning in connection to the shooting. As of now, no formal charges have been announced, and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are working to determine the exact sequence of events that led to Stone’s death and whether additional parties may have been involved.
The news has left co-workers, family members, and the broader Milledgeville community in shock. Friends and staff described Stone as a dedicated and respected young leader who had worked hard to build a career in restaurant management. “Nytavious was more than just a manager — he was a mentor and a friend to many of us,” one employee said through tears.
Community members have also expressed grief and frustration over the senseless violence that ended the life of someone so young and well-regarded. Local leaders urged calm as police continue their investigation, emphasizing that justice will be pursued.
In a statement, Buffalo Wild Wings corporate officials said they are “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our team member and manager, Nytavious Stone. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this devastating time. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement in their investigation.”
