BATON ROUGE, La. — A tragic hit-and-run incident on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard claimed the life of 39-year-old Scotty Greensberry on Saturday night, Baton Rouge Police confirmed.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Greensberry was riding his motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. near North Harrells Ferry Road when he was involved in a collision with a 2011 Mercedes. Initially, Greensberry’s injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries despite emergency medical attention.
Investigators reported that the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene following the crash. About two hours later, authorities were notified by a caller claiming involvement in the incident. The individual was later identified as Enrique Miranda, who admitted to being involved in the crash.
Miranda has been charged with felony hit-and-run, pending further investigation by Baton Rouge Police. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances of the collision, including possible contributing factors, speed, and traffic conditions at the time of the crash.
