Marion Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison Following Fatal Crash

Marion, IN – In a tragic case that shook the Marion community, Nicholas Blackburn, a local resident, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a crash that claimed the life of a pregnant woman two years ago. The Delaware County Circuit Court 4 handed down the sentence on August 25, bringing a measure of justice to the victim’s family and friends.

The deadly incident occurred when investigators later determined that Blackburn was operating his vehicle under the influence of fentanyl and other controlled substances.
