HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Police Department (HPD) is investigating an early morning shooting that left one man seriously injured on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
At approximately 1:14 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 19 Carrie Perry Way after multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, believed to be in his thirties, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes Division, along with the Crime Scene Division, has taken over the investigation. Detectives spent several hours at the scene, collecting evidence and canvassing the area for potential witnesses or surveillance footage that may shed light on what led to the shooting.
Authorities have not released any information regarding possible suspects or motives at this time.
In a statement, HPD urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward:
