HARRIS COUNTY, TX (Aug. 21, 2025) – A large law enforcement response is underway in northwest Harris County after reports of a 16-year-old male being shot near the intersection of Champions Forest Drive and W Richey Road.
According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, deputies arrived on scene shortly after receiving emergency calls reporting gunfire in the area. The teen victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was located and is being treated by emergency medical personnel. His condition has not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities have secured the area, establishing a significant perimeter around the crime scene as they continue to gather evidence and speak with witnesses. Motorists and residents are urged to avoid the area to allow first responders to operate safely and without interference.
“This is still a very active investigation,” said Constable Mark Herman in a public statement. “Our deputies are working diligently to determine what occurred and ensure the safety of our community.”
No information regarding suspects or possible motives has been released as investigators continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Deputies are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and additional witnesses who may have critical information.
