Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Searching for Armed and Dangerous Murder Suspect

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities are actively searching for 36-year-old Brian Hatfield, who is wanted in connection with a 2024 murder in Miami Township. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public that Hatfield should be considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators say Hatfield is wanted on a charge of complicity to murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of a man in the 5900 block of East Miami River Road. The homicide, which occurred in 2024, remains under investigation, and detectives believe Hatfield played a significant role in the deadly incident.

Hatfield is described as a white male, 36 years old, with several distinctive tattoos, including the name “Owen” inked above his right eyebrow and the phrase “Pray For Me” above his left eyebrow. Officials believe these features may make him easily identifiable, but caution that he is likely armed and should not be approached.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released details on what led to the 2024 shooting or the victim’s identity, citing the ongoing investigation. However, they have emphasized the importance of bringing Hatfield into custody as soon as possible to prevent further potential violence.

“We consider Mr. Hatfield to be extremely dangerous,” said Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey in a statement Monday. “We urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. Do not attempt to engage with him. Call 911 immediately.”

Authorities are utilizing multiple resources in the search, including partnerships with federal agencies and neighboring law enforcement departments.

Residents in Hamilton County and surrounding areas are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or tips related to Hatfield’s location. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at (513) 825-1500 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
