CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a tragic incident that claimed the life of 58-year-old Troy D. Haley of Duncan Falls late Friday night in Cambridge Township.
According to investigators, Haley was operating construction equipment in a work zone at approximately 10:13 p.m. on the Interstate 77 northbound to Interstate 70 eastbound ramp when he suffered a medical emergency. The episode caused Haley to lose control of the equipment, resulting in a collision with a parked truck within the construction area.
Emergency crews from the Cambridge Fire Department quickly responded to the scene and transported Haley to Southeastern Medical Center, where, despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced deceased shortly after 11:00 p.m.
