Northern Saints Football Club Mourns the Passing of Beloved Volunteer and Supporter, Pia Pelaccia

The Northern Saints Football Club community is heartbroken to learn of the passing of Pia Pelaccia, a cherished long-time volunteer, supporter, and devoted mother of current senior player Thomas Pelaccia. Pia’s passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, both within the club and beyond.

For many years, Pia was a familiar and welcoming presence at Northern Saints events and matches. Alongside her husband Carlo, she was always there when the club needed a helping hand—whether it was assisting with game-day preparations, supporting fundraisers, or simply cheering from the sidelines. Her dedication and warmth became a part of the fabric of the Northern Saints community, and her unwavering support for her son Tom and the entire team was an inspiration to players and supporters alike.

Club representatives described Pia as a person whose kindness, generosity, and commitment embodied the true spirit of community sport. “Pia was one of those special people who made everyone feel valued,” a club spokesperson shared. “She gave so much of herself to our club and supported us in every way she could. Her absence will be felt deeply.”

The Northern Saints Football Club extends its heartfelt condolences to her husband Carlo, their three boys, including our very own senior player Tom, as well as her extended family and many friends who are mourning this tremendous loss.

As the community reflects on Pia’s life, there is comfort in the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of love, selflessness, and commitment to family and community. The club plans to honor Pia’s memory in the coming weeks, with further details to be shared soon.

May she rest in peace.
