PINSON, Ala. — Just after midnight on Friday, authorities responded to a reported shooting on the 4000 block of Pinson Valley Parkway, resulting in the death of a man and serious injury to a woman.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on the scene to find a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers also discovered a 34-year-old woman who had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, though her current condition has not been released.
Investigators have not yet identified a suspect or determined a possible motive for the shooting. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
