Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Hailey McDonald, whose life was tragically cut short when she was struck by gunfire during a violent exchange between multiple vehicles.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect, whose name has not yet been released pending court proceedings, has been charged with second-degree murder in McDonald’s death.
The incident unfolded on N. Market Street, where investigators say several vehicles were exchanging gunfire in the roadway. In the midst of the chaos, McDonald was struck in the upper body by a bullet.
