LAS VEGAS — Authorities have released the identity of a man who died following a violent altercation in the central Las Vegas Valley over the weekend.
The Clark County coroner’s office confirmed that the victim has been identified as 41-year-old Noah Delacruz, who succumbed to his injuries after what police described as a fight that turned deadly on Saturday.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the scene shortly after reports of a disturbance involving multiple individuals. When officers arrived, they found Delacruz suffering from severe injuries sustained during the confrontation. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives have since taken over the investigation. While details about what sparked the fight remain limited, police said early indications point to an altercation that escalated beyond control. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether any weapons were involved or if arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing shouting before police arrived, describing the situation as chaotic. “It all happened so fast,” one resident said, noting the sudden surge of emergency vehicles that flooded the neighborhood.
Delacruz’s death marks yet another fatal incident in the Las Vegas Valley this summer, as law enforcement continues to address rising concerns over violent disputes escalating into deadly encounters.
The Clark County coroner’s office will determine Delacruz’s official cause and manner of death. Police are urging anyone with information about the altercation to contact Metro’s Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
As of now, the investigation remains ongoing.
