CLINTON, N.C. — The Clinton Police Department is investigating a shooting incident involving 21-year-old Jerry Boykin that occurred Monday afternoon in the area of Stetson and West Still Street, according to a departmental press release.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:09 p.m. on August 25, 2025, following reports of shots fired in the neighborhood. Upon arrival, police confirmed the occurrence of a shooting after locating multiple spent shell casings scattered across the roadway.
Shortly after the initial response, authorities were notified that Boykin had arrived at Sampson Regional Medical Center via private vehicle. Hospital staff treated him for non-life-threatening injuries, and he remained under medical care following the incident.
