Milwaukee —Milwaukee police are investigating after 16-year-old Desmantae Burns was shot and killed Saturday night on the city’s north side. Authorities say the shooting happened around 9:14 p.m. near the intersection of North 12th Street and West Concordia Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Burns suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity, and news of his death has sparked heartbreak throughout the neighborhood. Residents expressed shock and grief at the loss of someone so young, describing the tragedy as another devastating blow to the community.
